I recently staged a home that had been on the market for over three months with little or no interest. When I met with the sellers and their "new" agent they explained to me that the previous agent had said "don't change a thing" your home is perfect the way it is.
The seller had interviewed several agents and was told the same thing by all of them.....no sale!
When I received the call from the agent that now has the listing they were hopeful that the listing would come to fruition. Again, when meeting with the home owner, they explained to me that once again they had interviewed three agents, the only one that suggested a home stager was the agent that won the listing....and here we are.
The home owner had a beautiful home, however, it was not a home that a buyer could come into and see the space and the function of the space because of all of the art, accessories, and lack of cohesiveness of the furniture arrangement.
With not a lot of change, except for taking some art and storing it away for the new home, moving the furnishings to focus on the features of the home, and packing some accessories to move, we created a beautiful, spacious, warm, and inviting atmosphere for the new owner....the buyer.
The seller has since emailed me to say that they are receiving great comments from the viewers of their home......hopefully, a sale is imminent.
